Skelton Recovering After Iraq Injury
Missouri Congressman Ike Skelton is feeling better but still sore from injuries he suffered in an accident last weekend in Iraq. A spokeswoman says the 73-year-old Democrat has been resting with family members since returning to Washington on Wednesday after being examined at a U-S military hospital in Germany. Skelton was traveling with two other members of Congress last weekend when a tanker truck accidentally sideswiped their small armored bus on a road to the Baghdad airport. Skelton has declined all interviews since the accident, but his office says he's just taking it easy and has no serious injuries. The delegation had traveled to Afghanistan and Iraq to spend Thanksgiving with U-S troops.
