SLU Law School Interim Dean Resigns
ST. LOUIS - The interim dean of the Saint Louis University Law School has resigned over what he calls "politically incorrect" statements to faculty.
Tom Keefe took over as interim dean in August. He says he was not pressured to resign but told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he has made inappropriate and politically incorrect statements to faculty. He said those statements included a remark about Indians and another perceived as sexual harassment.
A university search committee is close to naming a new dean from among two finalists: Former Missouri Supreme Court judge Michael Wolff, who is now a law school faculty member; and Anthony Chivetta, a partner at the Armstrong Teasdale law firm in St. Louis.
