COLUMBIA - A pair of Missouri Tigers spread from the east coast to the west coast to see their new hometowns today.

Former Mizzou quarterback Blaine Gabbert had this to say, "I had a great meeting with them at the combine and I knew they were interested it's just a matter of moving up in the draft and getting the right fit for me and thankfully they had the opportunity to move up to number 10 and I'm glad I ended up where I did. As soon as I saw the trade-up with Washington and got the phone call I realized it's a dream come true, I've ended up in a great place."

With the seventh pick in the NFL draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected Mizzou's very own Aldon Smith. He met with the media this afternoon in the bay area. Aldon said he saw former MU Tiger Justin Smith working out there.

Coach Pinkel notices a lot more Mizzou in the NFL recently. Pinkel commented, "In the top 10 in the first round in the NFL is a remarkable honor and it says so much about them we've sent some things out today, we already got it done as far as it's out and we're putting them in envelopes right now and they'll be going across the nation about all this."
