Some Missouri gift card holders eligible for a refund
JEFFERSON CITY - Missourians who have unused Macaroni Grill gift cards will be eligible for a refund from the attorney general's office.
Attorney General Chris Koster announced Tuesday that his office made an agreement with Romano's Macaroni Grill for the 500 Missourians who still have a gift card to the Italian-American style restaurant.
Macaroni Grill announced in 2014 it was closing all of its Missouri locations and was met with complaints from consumers who had recently purchased gift cards to the restaurant.
Only gift cards purchased in Missouri in 2014 are eligible for the refund. Cardholders wanting the refund can fill out the online form or call the attorney general's office at (800)392-8222. Consumers will have to provide the account number on the back of the card. Cards that can be redeemed at multiple restaurants are not eligible for the refund.
The refund is only available through 5 p.m. on May 11, 2016.
