St. James Recovery
"It was a mess. There was clutter everywhere and people were still trying to make sense of what was going on," St. James resident Jeff Goff explained.
It destroyed fences and broke trees, but the tornado did not break the community. St. James is counting its blessings just days later.
"We just feel strongly that God's hand of protection was on us and we thank him for that. It could have been a lot worse. We're just grateful nobody was hurt, nobody was killed. You know all this damage to property could be fixed. But if had anybody been hurt or any loss of life. That can't be fixed. Just super grateful for that," Goff said.
The tornado touched down Friday afternoon. The National Weather Service said it was an F1 strength tornado.
