CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - A St. Louis County man has been ordered to spend 18 years in prison for fatally shooting a friend in 2013.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 27-year-old Cameron Reed was sentenced Friday to 15 years on a manslaughter conviction and three years for armed criminal action.
Jurors found Reed guilty in June after a four-day trial. He had been charged with second-degree murder.
Authorities say Reed shot and killed 25-year-old ONeal Stafford, whose body was found on a street. Stafford's first name also appears as O'Neal in some court records.
