St. Louis County Teen Shoots Man Over Refusal to Buy Beer
PINE LAWN (AP) - A St. Louis County teen faces assault and robbery charges after he reportedly shot a man who refused to buy him beer at a convenience store.
Seventeen-year-old Carlos Blue was charged Tuesday with shooting 47-year-old David Porter in Pine Lawn.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that Porter was shot after he left the store at Natural Bridge Road and Pine Grove Avenue.
Blue remained in jail on a $100,000 bond Wednesday. He is charged with four felonies: first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.
Police say Blue and another teen stole Porter's wallet after the shooting. Nineteen-year-old Monte A. Johnson, was charged Tuesday with robbery. Online court records didn't list attorneys for either defendant.
