St. Louis drops first Stanley Cup Final game
BOSTON - St. Louis dropped its first Stanley Cup Final game in 49 years, 4-2, to the Boston Bruins, on Monday.
The Blues had a strong start with a two-goal lead, however, the Bruins took over from there. Boston defensemen Connor Clifton and Charlie McAvoy both scored in the second period to tie the game, 2-2.
The third period belonged to the Bruins. Sean Kuraly's game winning-goal and a Brad Marchand empty-netter sealed St. Louis' fate.
The Bruins and the Blues will meet again on Wednesday, May 29th at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.
