St. Louis man convicted of murder in neighborhood ambush
ST. LOUIS (AP) — The ex-boyfriend of a St. Louis woman killed in an ambush shooting has been convicted of first-degree murder and 11 other charges.
Twenty-nine-year-old Terrell Perkins was convicted Friday in the death of Jolice Trice.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Perkins and several other people went to Trice's home in July 2014. Prosecutors say Perkins and others lured Trice and her friends outside to fight. But two people with guns were waiting and when Trice and her friends were away from the house, the shooting began.
Trice died and two other women were shot.
Trice had broken off her relationship with Perkins and the dispute began earlier in the day of the shooting.
Three other people, including Perkins' mother, are facing trial in the case.
