St. Marys Health Center Opens Lab
"Everyday we learn new things," said registered nurse Susan Robinson who works in the cardiac catheter lab. "And I think that it will really help the public learn new, tasty ways to prepare and enjoy food."
But, beyond good food, visitors learned about new imaging equipment to make diagnosing heart patients much easier.
"On the new equipment, everything is so much, so much clearer than it used to be," explained patient and volunteer Jack Dowd. "And my family is really excited about it because my wife is able to see the pictures and she feels pretty comfortable after she sees the arteries are opened back up again."
The new lab has three rooms with the new imaging system, so it can treat more heart patients at the same time.
St. Marys Health Center is one of the first hospitals in Missouri with the new imaging system.
