Stabbing in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY - On October 8, 2010 at about 5:15 a.m., Jefferson City Police Officers responded to the 1400 block of Elizabeth Street for a call of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they contacted a number of people at the scene, and one subject was found to be stabbed in the upper left torso.
Further investigation led the officers to an apartment in that same block where they contacted the suspect for the stabbing. He was placed under arrest for Assault 2nd and Armed Criminal Action, and transported to Cole County Jail. The suspect in this case is a 27 year old Jefferson City resident.
The victim, an 18 year old male Jefferson City resident, was transported to a local hospital for moderate wounds.
Jefferson City Police Detectives were called to the scene and will continue to conduct the investigation.
