KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — A 54-year-old Kansas City woman has been sentenced to six years in prison for a fatal traffic crash that occurred while she was driving drunk.

Tonya Rolf pleaded pleaded guilty in November to driving while intoxicated involving the death of another person. She was sentenced on Thursday.

Court documents say Rolf's vehicle crossed the center line of a Kansas City street and hit a pickup truck head-on in December 2019.

A passenger in the pickup, Rob Heslop, of Independence, was killed.

Court documents say Rolf had high levels of alcohol and a chemical that breaks down cocaine in her system after the crash.
