Students Return to Larger Lincoln University
Not only is enrollment increasing, but Lincoln has also added a new major this year.
"There is an interest, a need out there that is not being addressed and we believe that there is strong interest in environmental science and so we did create that major and we think that's contributing to the increased enrollment on campus," said Carolyn Mahoney, Lincoln University President.
With 80 transfers and more than 640 incoming freshman, one senior said he can already see the growth around campus and its effects.
"I have definitely noticed newer faces and less parking," said Cliff Thornberd, Lincoln senior.
Registration closes on Thursday, and Lincoln still hopes to enroll more students before that deadline. The new major has already drawn attention, as more than 80 students have already registered to take the introductory class.
