Students Sport Ribbons of Caring
COLUMBIA - Rock Bridge high school students met Monday to start a new club to raise awareness of a different cause each month. The club will distribute ribbons to high school student each month that correspond to an issue. This month, that issue is bullying.
Senior Caroline Brumfield says she decided to start the club after watching a TV show one afternoon. "I was actually watching "Dr. Phil" one day and he was talking about all the bullying that had been leading to suicides in young, young kids. And I was like, 'There really is something you can do about that,'" she said.
The group is planning on having a bake sale in the next week to cover the cost of the ribbons.
