Sunny Memories of 1973 Bowl Victory
In that victory, Moseley scored on a game-changing kickoff return to ignite Mizzou.
"He kicked it away from me, the wind held it up, I got it and scored with no time left. So, that was a huge thrill no doubt," Moseley recalled. "Our whole team played well that game, our offense came through. [I have] very fond memories, and that's a good way to end your career."
Moseley was born and raised in Columbia, where he now owns a consulting business. Former teammate Gary Hall is a State Farm Insurance agent in Columbia.
"The game never was in doubt, we got ahead and stayed ahead," Hall remembered. "It really was a pretty neat experience."
Hall also recalled that he and his wife went back to the football stadium the next day.
"The day after the game, we snuck over a fence to get in and, with the aerial view, you can see the fence that we crawled over to get into the stadium. So I guess the stadium has not changed very much."
Unfortunately for Missouri fans, the outcome changed Friday as Mizzou lost to Oregon State, 39-38, in the 2006 Sun Bowl.
