Sunrise Beach man arrested in shooting incident
SUNRISE BEACH — Camden County deputies announced Tuesday they responded Friday to a shots fired incident at Oxon Run Court, resulting in the arrest of Gary L. Weber.
When deputies arrived, they found 51-year-old Weber and an unidentified neighbor.
The Camden County Sheriff's Office said it believed Weber was intoxicated and fired a .22 rifle shot into the ground in front of the neighbor during an argument. The victim was unable to explain their injuries, but the Camden County Sheriff's Office said they could have been the result of a ricocheting bullet.
The Camden County Sheriff's Office said deputies arrested Weber at the scene and charged him with Assault in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.
Weber posted a $3,000 cash bond and is set to appear in court on Feb. 9.
