Suspect in double homicide in Springfield arrested
SPRINGFIELD (AP) - Authorities say a suspect in the shooting deaths of a Springfield woman and her son has been arrested in Arkansas.
A police statement said U.S. Marshals arrested 51-year-old Willie Clark Jr. without incident Tuesday at a home in McGehee, Arkansas.
Investigators had been searching for Clark since Friday, when 50-year-old Andrea Anderson and her 35-year-old son, Kevin Anderson, were found dead at a home in Springfield. A second son, Ronald Anderson, was shot but survived.
Police say Andrea Anderson was Clark's estranged girlfriend.
Clark is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed criminal action and one count of first-degree assault.
