Suspect in Fulton McDonald's shooting faces multiple charges
FULTON - The man suspected in the Fulton McDonald's altercation is facing a litany of charges.
Police issued a warrant for Brain K. Heathcock's arrest. He is accused of second and fourth-degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, receiving stole property and unlawful possession of a concealable firearm.
Police said Heathcock got into a "physical altercation" at the McDonald's and hit a man on the head twice with a gun.
Police said Heathcock then fired a round into the McDonald's and left the scene
The man who was hit with the gun was treated on the scene. No one was hurt by the gunfire.
The owner of the McDonald's released a statement Saturday evening.
“In our restaurants, nothing is more important to us than the safety and security of our guests and employees," Ryan Ruprecht said. "We will work closely with authorities in their investigation.”
Heathcock is currently being held on charges from another agency.
