Suspect in Fulton shooting arrested
FULTON - The Fulton Police Department said Thursday night it arrested a man in connection to a shooting that injured one person Monday.
Ladeigh Cowans was arrested in the 4700 block of Ebersole Loop about 9:20 p.m. Thursday. The arrest came after several tips on his location. Police said Cowans had an active warrant for the shooting with a $100,000 bond and a parole violation warrant with no bond.
Police said 33-year-old Markus Berry was taken to the hospital Monday and treated for multiple injuries. Berry was shot in the 700 block of Grand Avenue around 5:00 p.m. Monday.
The shooting put multiple schools on lockdown briefly.
Cowans had been considered armed and dangerous. Police said the investigation into the shooting was ongoing Thursday night and more charges could be brought against Cowans.
