SWAT, MSHP execute firearms search warrant in Callaway County
CALLAWAY COUNTY - The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Callaway County SWAT team made arrests Wednesday after executing a firearms search warrant at a house on Route J, according the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Authorities said they entered the house, located south of I-70 and exit 137, and made arrests, though authorities would not tell KOMU 8 News how many people had been arrested or who was in custody.
The owner of a nearby auto shop said he did not hear gunshots. He took a picture showing police surrounding the house.
The owner of the house said he rents out the building. He said authorities did not tell him anything.
John Hamm, Public Information Officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said those in custody could have criminal complaints filed against them within the next day or two.
