Tax Free Weekend
"I have two in college so this is a good day for me when we have to go out and buy clothing, shoes, that type of thing, saved us a lot of money," parent Sondra Savage said.
Savage bought a laptop and printer for her girls and she's thanking the state.
"Fifty dollars is fifty dollars, that's right, especially when we've got to buy everything else for school right now," Savage said.
The sales weekend was something Savage couldn't pass by.
"We were waiting to buy her laptop today, because it saved us so much money," Savage explained.
"Bigger sales promotions, bigger discounts because of the back to school promotion and when conjoined with the tax free event the consumers know they're going to get a really smoking deal," John Gregory, Circuit City Operations Manager explained.
Although state sales taxes are exempt, county and city taxes are still included in the purchase.
