Tebbetts man charged with child endangerment, firearms violations
FULTON - A Tebbetts man has been charged with several felonies following his arrest Wednesday night.
Callaway County deputies arrested 38-year-old Darren L. Schrimpf for unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies responded to a report of shots fired Wednesday night at the 1000 block of State Road BB near Tebbetts. They got a vehicle description of the suspect's car shortly after, and located and stopped it near U.S. Highway 54, south of Fulton.
Authorities reported finding a gun and meth when they searched the vehicle. There was also a child in the car.
Schrimpf is being held in the Callaway County Jail with no bond. He has a previous felony conviction for receiving stolen property.
