Teen accused of making Snapchat threats against high school
RALLS COUNTY - Deputies have arrested a 17-year-old student saying he made threats against his school.
The Ralls County Sheriff's Office said Tyler Lanier made the threats on Snapchat aimed at Mark Twain Junior-Senior High School on Feb. 10. A press release did not specify what was said.
Lanier is charged with first-degree terrorist threats.
The press release said adults and other minors have been interviewed and additional arrests are possible.
The sheriff's office said it wanted to commend parents and students who came forward immediately, showing awareness in the community that everyone plays an important role in school safety.
