Chandler and Wilson were shot to death in December of 2005. Their bodies were found just a few miles from their Jefferson City homes.

Washington pleaded guilty to two counts of voluntary manslaughter and an unlawful weapons charge. The judge sentenced him to seven years on each manslaughter charge and three years on the weapons charge, with Washington serving the sentences consecutively.

"I think today was good because he pled guilty," said Jacqueline Sidney, daughter of one victim. "But I don't think it's right that he only got 17 years because that's not enough time for you to take somebody else's life."

The other two defendants, Charles Edwards and Charles Samuels, already have been sentenced to prison for the murders.
