FULTON - Two women and one man were arrested Sunday morning in Fulton on drug charges. Police believe they tried to smuggle drugs to a prison inmate.

Callaway County sheriff's deputies arrested Dorothy Oliver, Terry Lambert and Laniesha Dill at 10:53 a.m. at the Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center, a prison in Fulton.

Police say they arrested the trio after they arrived at the prison to visit an inmate and discovered two types of drugs in their vehicle.

Officers suspicion of drug activity stemmed from an investigation from the Sheriff's office and the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Oliver, Lambert and Dill were sent to the Callaway County Jail, and were each held on $4,500 bond, according to police.

Police say their investigation is ongoing, and more arrests could take place in the future.
