Three remaining victims identified in Texas County homicides
TEXAS COUNTY - The Texas County Sheriff released the names of the three remaining victims in the Texas County homicides Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff James Sigman identified the victims as 68-year-old Darrell Shriver, 46-year-old Carey Shriver and 44-year-old Valirea Shriver. Sigman said Carey Shriver and Valirea Shriver were married, and Darrell Shriver was Carey Shriver's father.
The name of the 67-year-old female who survived has not been released. Sigman said she is still recovering.
There were a total of nine people found dead Friday morning at six crime scenes.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the victims appear to be related to the alleged shooter, Joseph Aldridge (pictured).
MSHP said one of the people found dead appeared to have died from natural causes. She is 74-year-old Alice Aldridge, mother of the shooter.
The other four victims are 52-year-old Garold Aldridge, 47-year-old Julie Aldridge, 50-year-old Harold Aldridge and 48-year-old Janell Aldridge. They are believed to be cousins of the shooter.
Sigman said in a news conference Friday afternoon a .45 caliber gun was the only weapon found, and there were no signs of forced entry at any of the crime scenes.
MSHP said authorities found Joseph Aldridge in a parked vehicle in Shannon County a short distance from the other crime scenes. They said Joseph Aldridge died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Missouri State Highway Patrol said a motive for the killings has not been identified.
