Tiger Golfers Look for Fourth Consecutive Victory

COLUMBIA - The Missouri Men's Golf team will host the 2011 Columbia Orthopedic Group Mizzou Intercollegiate on April 4-5 at The Club at Old Hawthrone. The event will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 4. The teams will play 36 holes the first day and conclude competition on Tuesday, April 5, with the final rounds at 8 a.m. This will be the first home event of the season as the team tries to get their fourth consecutive spring season win.

Missouri has also had individual winners from the three events this season. Freshman Emilio Cuartero won by five shots at the Washington State Snowman Getaway and Sophomore Jace Long has won back-to-back tournaments at the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational and the Arkansas-Little Rock First Tee Classic.

The Tigers will be joined at Old Hawthorne by 16 other teams: Nebraska, Arkansas-Little Rock, Ball State, Belmont, Creighton, Cincinnati, DePaul, Eastern Michigan, IUPUI, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, South Dakota State, Toledo and Xavier.
