Tigers Climb in Gymnastics National Poll

COLUMBIA -- The Missouri Gymnastics team sits at No. 17 in the nation on the latest GymInfo National Top 25 rankings after defeating the then No. 4-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers on January 28. The Tigers have consistently climbed the rankings this season, and Mizzou boasts a 194.663 team average. The Tigers are now 4-0 on the season, marking the first time in program history that Mizzou has won four consecutive dual meets to start the season.

The Tigers set a season-high 195.575 against the Cornhuskers, which was an improvement over the previous season-high score of 195.525 that was set against Southern Utah on January 13. Missouri also hit a season-high 49.250 on vault against the Huskers, which moved the team up to No. 16 in the vault rankings. The Tigers check in at No. 15 on the balance beam as well, with a team average of 48.513.

The Tigers host No. 23 North Carolina State on Friday, February 3 at 6:30 P.M. in the Hearnes Center
