Tigers Demolish Delta Devils
The Mizzou baseball team stepped out of conference Friday night and stepped on visiting Mississippi Valley State 12-1. First baseman Derek Chambers led the Tigers' offensive onslaught with two home runs and five RBIs while designated hitter Jacob Priday poured in three more runs. Missouri (22-20) was equally strong from the mound as starting pitcher Nathan Culp baffled the Delta Devils, giving up only one run and four hits in seven innings. Culp has been the starting pitcher in nine of Mizzou's twenty-two season wins.
Game two of Missouri's three-game series with Mississippi Valley State is Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Taylor Stadium.
