Tigers Have a Bad Day
"We've shot the ball well. We've shot the ball. Matt lawrence doesn't normally, you know he turned out a lot of shots and didn't make any shots. And he's one of those guys that we count on to make shots for us," said Coach Mike Anderson.
Stefhon Hannah had trouble finding his offense. He only had 6 points and fouled out with 4 minutes left.
With the Tigers top two scorers struggling, freshman Keon Lawrence shined. He finished with a career-high 18 points.
"Coach told me I just had to, like help us more. Defensively, rebounding, whatever, and I just felt like I got to take a lot of pressure off some players on our team, Matt Lawrence, Stefhon, Marshall. And I just have to continue to do it," the freshman guard said.
Coach Anderson says the team might need some aspirin after last weeks loss in Manhattan.
"We probably had what you call a hangover from the Kansas State game. And you could see it because confidence is big in basketball. And so right now, that's something that this team is battling with, is confidence," added Anderson.
The Tigers will try to find confidence before they travel to Iowa State on Tuesday.
