Tigers land new head football coach, introductory press conference scheduled
COLUMBIA - The Missouri Tigers have found their new head football coach.
Eli Drinkwitz from Appalachian State will lead the Tiger program, pending approval by the UM Board of Curators.
A press conference to introduce Drinkwitz as head coach will take place Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. in the South End Zone Facility at Memorial Stadium.
Drinkwitz is 36 years old. He led Appalachian State to a 12-1 record and a Sun Belt Conference Championship in just his first season as head coach. The Mountaineers won road games over Power-5 conference opponents, North Carolina and South Carolina. They averaged 39 points per game.
Before becoming head coach at Appalachian State, Drinkwitz worked as an offensive coordinator at Arkansas State, Boise State, and North Carolina State.
