Tigers Lose to No. 7 Gamecocks
The Missouri Tigers (14-8, 3-6) lost to the No. 7-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks today 78-62 at Colonial Life Arena. The loss is Missouri's fifth loss in their last six games and their third road loss in a row.
South Carolina (20-2, 8-1) started the game strong and ended the first half with a 23-point lead over the Tigers. Leading Missouri in the first half was senior Bri Kulas, who scored 9 of her 21 points then and also grabbed four rebounds.
The Tigers tried to come back in the second half, but the Gamecocks were too much for the team to handle. Junior Morgan Eye tallied 11 of her 14 points in the game's final 20 minutes and went 3-for-4 from behind the arc.
Missouri is off until Thursday when they travel down to Baton Rouge for the first time since 1988 to take on LSU. The Tigers then come back for a home game against Alabama. The Sunday match is slated for a 2 p.m. start.
