Titans spoil Mahomes' return
NASHVILLE - After missing two games to a dislocated kneecap, 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes returned to the field in the Kansas City Chiefs' 35-32 loss to the Tennessee Titans.
The Chiefs kept the balling rolling coming out of the gates, going into the second quarter up 10-0, while also forcing a turnover.
The Titans were not going to let them roll over them, as they forced a turnover of their own and added a touchdown, going into the half tied up at 13.
Kansas City came out of the half scoring on four straight drives, but Tennessee held on, scoring on two of their own to bring the score to 32-27.
It looked like it was all over, as with less than two minutes left, the Titans turned it over on downs.
The Chiefs had a chance to go up by eight with 1:30 left, but Dustin Colquitt fumbled the snap on a field goal, turning it over.
Tennessee capitalized on the mistake, scoring with 23 seconds left to take the 35-32 lead.
Kansas City quickly marched down the field, and brought Harrison Butker in for a 52-yard field goal to tie it, but the Titans blocked it with no time left to win.
The Chiefs have now lost four of six, and fall to 6-4 on the season, while Tennessee improves to 5-5.
Kansas City will travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers next Monday at 8:15 P.M.
