According to 24/7 Sports, Porter's only other offer came from Missouri, but Washington seemed to be the perfect fit in the eyes of Porter.
"I just really felt like this was the place I was looking for," Porter told Scout.com. "I want to play how I was taught to play. I feel like this place is the only place I can do that with how [Washington Head Coach Lorenzo] Romar does things."
Romar offered Porter's dad and current Missouri Women's Basketball Assistant Coach Michael Porter Sr. an job earlier this year. Porter Sr. ended up declining the offer.
