Tour Bus Flips Over in Wash Amid Arizona Rain Storm
KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a tour bus carrying 31 people was pushed into a wash before flipping over amid heavy rains in northern Arizona.
Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter told KNXV-TV there were no reports of injuries after the accident Sunday north of Kingman.
The news station reported that a multi-agency rescue effort was underway. Bill Johnston of the Kingman Fire Department told the station that the bus had become stuck in an area with heavy rain before it flipped.
The crash happened as Northern Arizona was hit with a second day of heavy rain.
Meteorologist Robert Rickey with the National Weather Service's Flagstaff office says the storm forecast for Sunday led to a flash flood watch for northwestern Coconino County until 10 p.m.
