Two arrested in connection with Sedalia shooting

SEDALIA - Sedalia Police said they have arrested two people in connection with a Monday shooting.

24-year-old Tyler J. Evans and 42-year-old Tiffanie L. O'Malley, both of Sedalia, were arrested in Lafayette County.

According to a news release, Sedalia Police responded to the 500 block of East 2nd St. about a person who had been shot. Officers arrived and found the victim suffering from several gunshot wounds, the statement said. Police identified the victim as Sean Clark of Sedalia and said he was flown to the MU Hospital for treatment. 

Evans is facing charges of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action being a felon in possession of a firearm.

O'Malley is facing charges of first-degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and hindering prosecution.
