Two Columbia convenience stores robbed at gunpoint over the weekend
COLUMBIA- The Boone County Sheriff's Department is investigating a pair of armed robberies at convenience stores over the weekend.
The first happened Leatherwood Hills Little General around 8:37 a.m. Saturday when the clerk said a black male wearing a bandana over his face showed a gun and demanded cash. He then ran away on foot.
The second robbery happened Sunday morning shortly after 3 a.m. at the Petro Mart on St. Charles Road. A clerk reported that a black male with a pistol entered the store and demanded cash.
It's unclear if the two robberies are connected.
