Two Columbia men indicted for illegal firearms
COLUMBIA - A federal grand jury indicted two unrelated Columbia men today for illegally possessing firearms.
Both men were charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Terry Allen Simmons, 27, of Columbia was charged for allegedly possessing a .380 caliber pistol in early-July. Simmons has also used the names Terry Roger Walker and Marcus Walton in the past.
Darian Maurice Carter, 23, of Columbia was charged for allegedly possessing a 9mm semi-automatic pistol in late-March.
These charges will be presented to a federal trial jury who will ultimately decide whether the men are guilty or innocent.
