JENNINGS (AP) — Two juveniles are in custody in the shooting death of a 71-year-old St. Louis area man.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the two 14-year-old boys were arrested Monday in the death of Steven White of Northwoods. Police said White was shot to death Friday in Jennings.

Police said White was found lying on the ground in front of a home and that he had been shot at least once.

St. Louis County Police Officer Benjamin Granda said the two 14-year-old boys were taken into custody in St. Louis and are being held by the St. Louis County Family Court. Granda said police did not know a motive for the shooting.
