Two men arrested after fight between dogs
COLUMBIA - Two men were arrested Friday night after a fight between two dogs in Boone County.
33-year-old Josh L. Williams fired shots in the 4700 block of Highway HH after a neighbor stabbed his dog to death.
The Boone County Sheriff's Department said the neighbor stabbed Williams' dog because it attacked his dog first.
Authorities said Williams then went into his home, retrieved a pistol, threatened a group of people with the pistol and fired a number of shots.
Deputies arrested Williams on four counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, two counts of third degree assault and possession of marijuana.
His bond is set at $28,500.
Deputies also arrested 34-year-old Shaetwyn D. Allen for resisting arrest in the incident. His bond is $500.
