Two men charged after shooting in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY — The Cole County prosecutor charged two men Thursday in connection to a shooting the day before.
Najee Jones, 27, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, and Rimolli Wease, 48, was charged with first degree attempted assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
The charges stem from an incident Wednesday morning on the 200 block of West Dunklin Street. An investigation determined Jones fired shots at Wease after Wease accelerated his car towards Jones.
Both Jones and Wease were transported to Cole County Jail. No bond has been set.
