COLUMBIA - Two males are on the run after an armed robbery at a family residence on Saturday.

Columbia Police were dispatched to an apartment on the 3100 block of Alpine Drive around 10 p.m. where two black males wearing bandanas over their faces came into a residence with handguns. The suspects were reportedly demanding for money.

Inside was an adult male and female along with six other children during the time of the invasion. The male victim was struck in the face with one of the suspect's handgun. He was later transported to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

No one else in the residence was harmed.

Columbia Police say that the suspects took an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the scene in an unknown direction. There have been no arrests made and the investigation continues.

If anyone has any information regarding this robbery, you are encouraged to call the Columbia Police Department or Crimestoppers at (573) 872-TIPS to remain anonymous.
