Two more suspects arrested in August homicide on Sylvan Lane
COLUMBIA - Boone County deputies arrested a St. Louis-area man and woman on Wednesday in connection with a deadly drug-related shooting on Sylvan Lane.
Mackenzie Cox, 28, and Elijah Fiore, 29, have been charged with second-degree murder. They're the sixth and seventh people to face criminal charges over the death of Randall King. He died August 28 after he was shot late the night before during what police called a drug deal.
Others facing charges include Hollie Johnson, Dariah Littleton, Anthony Neill, Sarah Davidson and Richard Nole.
According to court documents, Johnson arranged a drug deal for methamphetamine between Neill and Littleton at Johnson's apartment. Neill showed up with Fiore and waited inside the apartment for Littleton, while Cox waited in their car outside.
Littleton reportedly showed up a short time later with Davidson and said her boyfriend, Nole, would bring the drugs. Police said she then left and came back with King and Nole, at which point King apparently grabbed Johnson "like a hostage." Someone started shooting, and King, Johnson and Nole were hit. Nole reportedly left right after; medics arrived and took King and Johnson to the hospital, where King later died.
Davidson later told police she saw Neill and Fiore shoot at King. Police said Johnson admitted to helping Neill and Fiore buy meth a day before the shooting, and that Cox had been with them. According to Johnson, Cox and Fiore were in a relationship.
Editor's note: This story has been corrected to say seven people now face charges in the case, not six.
