Two Plead Guilty to SE Mo. Counterfeit Scheme
CAPE GIRARDEAU - Two men face sentencing in June after pleading guilty to passing counterfeit money in several southeast Missouri towns.
The Southeast Missourian reports that 29-year-old Darius Lankford of Huntsville, Alabama, and 28-year-old Terry Hester Jr. of Poplar Bluff entered the guilty pleas Wednesday in federal court. The men admitted using counterfeit money at stores in Cape Girardeau, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff and Dexter last October.
Three others connected to the crimes pleaded guilty in February.
