Two Red Cross Volunteers In Florida for Storm Relief
JEFFERSON CITY - Two volunteers, one from Callaway County and another from Osage County, are in Orlando, Florida Tuesday to aid relief efforts against Tropical Storm Isaac.
The volunteers will be scheduled for assignment in Florida for a minimum of two weeks.
One volunteer left Thursday and the other left Friday. They went with two of the Red Cross emergency response vehicles.
Tropical Storm Isaac is expected to gain enough strength to be classified as a hurricane before it makes landfall near New Orleans on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
