Two Shooting Incidents in Fulton
The most recent shots were fired at a house in the 200 block of West Chestnut about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. No one was hurt, but the house was damaged. People who live there said the shots were a warning for them to leave. They cited tension between long-time residents and people who moved there recently as the cause of the problem.
"We have had, in the past, situations where individuals from the Fulton area and individuals from the St. Louis area have gotten into some disagreements and altercations," said Fulton police officer Rich McKee. "We don't have any evidence or information of any formalized gangs at this point."
The first shooting was July 30, when a 15-year-old, who is still hospitalized, was wounded in the chest.
