U.S. House Elects New Majority Leader
On Thursday, GOP lawmakers picked John Boehner of Ohio to replace former leader Tom Delay, who is under indictment in Texas.
Boehner's been in Congress for 15 years.
"I never came here because I wanted to be a congressman. I came here to help solve the problems that the American people face everyday. I think what you're going to see us [do] is rededicate ourselves to deal with issues, big issues, that the American people expect us to deal with in terms of improving their income, their respective jobs, and to provide better security of Americans all over this country."
Boehner beat Blunt by 13 votes.
