JEFFERSON CITY - A new report says Missouri's unemployment rate held steady last month even though the state had a net loss of 6,000 payroll jobs.
The Missouri Department of Economic Development reported Friday that November's jobless rate of 9.4 percent was unchanged from October. The state unemployment rate has been at least 9 percent for the last 20 months.
The agency also said the St. Louis area added 1,400 jobs in November, but the Kansas City region reported a decline of 5,100 jobs.
