Upcoming area bridge and road work

MACON - MoDOT sent a release Friday saying crews will be doing road and bridge work on the following routes:


Route J - April 4, road closed from Route RA to Island Avenue for bridge work at the Chariton River Bridge. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. 

Route J - April 5, road closed from Route O to MO 3 for bridge work at the Chariton River Bridge. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. 

U.S. 63 - April 6, one lane traffic from Route D to MO 156 for bridge work at the Sante Fe Railroad Bridge. Work is to be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. that day.  

U.S. 36 - April 10-11, one lane traffic from U.S. 63 and Long Branch Lake Road for bridge work over Gantz Street. Work is to be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. that day.  

U.S. 36 - April 12-13, one lane traffic from Route K to Business 36 near Macon for bridge work at the branch of the middle fork. Work is to be completed between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. that day.

Route J (Monroe) - April 4, road closed just from 600 feet east of Monroe Road 139 to 1000 feet west of Monroe Road 159 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.

Route ZZ (Audrain) - April 11, road closed just north of Audrain Road 366 to 1500 feet south of Audrain Road 353 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.

Route CC (Audrain) - April 12, road closed from Audrain Road 217 to Audrain Road 221 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.

Route E (Monroe) - April 13, road closed from Monroe Road 680 to 2500 feet north of Monroe Road 670 for a culvert replacement. Work will be completed between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. that day.

Northbound and southbound I-49/71 Highway will be closed and diverted to the outer roads from the Main Street ramp to the 140th Street ramp in both directions.

Main Street will be closed in both directions between the outer roads for the duration of the weekend closure.
