UPDATE: Deputy Terminated Following Wreck, Meth Posession
MILLER COUNTY - A sheriff's deputy with Miller County has been arrested and charged with a class C felony of possession of a controlled substance following an accident in his patrol car. He has since been fired by the Miller County Sheriff's Department.
Paul E. Hill, 29, of Rocky Mount was initially arrested on suspicion of DWI, felony possession of methamphetamine, carless driving and possession of a controlled substance after crashing his vehicle outside of Eldon. According to officials, Hill was on duty at the time.
He is being held on $10,000 bond and could face up to seven years in prison if convicted.
